Farrell and wife with Mrs Lawson and a lodger were taken to Lagrange street station after Farrell admitted firing twice. He says Lawson came into his room, attacked him and reached for a weapon, prompting Farrell to shoot in self defense. Lawson, a Tennessee resident, had threatened to kill him after two of Lawson’s friends were ejected days earlier.
