Manchester Leaders and Arbella Pageant Honor Massachusetts Past
A Manchester pageant recounts three centuries of coastal life, honoring Governor Winthrop and the Arbella replica. Red Men lodges, dignitaries, and local schoolchildren in period dress recreate colonial reception, while Lt. Governor Wolcott’s speech links Essex seafaring heritage to American progress and virtue.
