Trolleys Crash in Stoneham Injuring Forty-Five

A head on collision between northbound and southbound trolley cars in Stoneham injured forty five people and caused panic among 50 or more bystanders. The motormen halted the cars to prevent worse harm and all injured were taken home. An investigation was ordered to determine the cause. Injured include F. Simmons and Nelson H. Howell among others.

Seventeen in One Flivver Reported by Back Bay Police

Police at Back Bay station arrested Joseph Hryniegick of Cambridge for drunken driving after his car carried his wife their ten children four other women and a male guest. The group crowded the vehicle along Brookline avenue Riverway and camped at the station until bail was posted at 1 30 a m.

Death of Hugh McNally Roxbury playwright and editor

Hugh P. McNally, noted Boston playwright and critic, longtime Pilot assistant editor, died suddenly at his Roxbury home aged about 60. Born in Charlestown he pursued naval academy tests before choosing journalism. He led dramatic criticism at the Boston Herald for a decade and later contributed to the Pilot. survived by his widow and four children.
