Fall River railroad worker dies after harbor attempt

John Kelly of Old Colony railroad at Fall River died Monday after attempting suicide by drowning in the harbor last week. Turnverein societies from Boston to Worcester joined a Providence Social Turnverein test at Rocky Point with large attendance, continuing this evening in town hall. Maria M Ames, 21, of respectable connections, was arrested in Providence charged with forging Rev Richard Montague’s name to an order for $20 from Deacon Joseph C Hartshorn. she pled not guilty and the case was continued to Friday in $1,100 bail.
