Lightning Strikes Cause Havoc in Suburban Areas

A Sunday night thunderstorm killed a cow owned by Mrs Hemmenway of Milton and damaged multiple homes in Melrose Hyde Park and Milton. Mr Lovett and Mrs Hilton were stunned or unconscious, walls torn, slate scattered, and a barn in Sherburne burned after a direct hit. A leaf imprint marked a railroad worker. The Neal residence escaped damage.
