Death of Lord Raglan and Parliament's Postwar Acknowledgment
Lord Raglan died after a period of illness on the 28th to 9 o clock. Major General Simpson acted pro tem. A royal message proposed annuities of 1000 pounds to the widow and 2000 pounds to the titleholder. The Lords debated charges against Raglan and blamed government for unanswered criticisms in Parliament.
