Wonderful Freaks of Electricity Disaster in Evansville
At about 10 o'clock last night a power outage at the Evansville electric station caused blown wires to whip through streets and flood waters with live current. Firemen and horses were knocked down while crowds and rescuers were knocked unconscious, but several were saved by placing them on wet ground as power was shut off and resuscitation began. Several firefighters remain in a precarious condition.

The body of an unknown Englishman about sixty was found in Stony Brook near Moore's mill, Westford. He wore fine clothing, had red facial hair, and eight cents were found in a pocket. The corpse showed no signs of foul play and appeared to have been in the water for several days with injuries from the water. He could not be identified.
