Middletown Conn July 14 A well dressed 35 year old man calling himself S J Seneca of Wilmington Del visited lawyer A B Calef Jr seeking to sue over a patent infringement and attempted to cash a 481 check from Newark forging. A $1000 draft likewise forged prompted Newark banks to alert authorities. He fled toward Hartford then Boston, bearing long scars on his right cheek and forehead.

Easy Club group sails to Nantasket after wind dies
A party from the Easy Club of the South End including William Denon George Young John Hartnett Anthony Neary and John Murphy hired a catboat at Savin Hill Tuesday for a harbor sail. The wind failing left them adrift until they reached Nantasket where they faced a cash shortage for lodging. They secured accommodations for the night and by Thursday afternoon a friend delivered money, enabling their return.

Drowned Youth Identified as Wilfred Duncan in Asquam Lake
The drowned young man near Plymouth in Asquam Lake is Wilfred Duncan son of Mr and Mrs Henry K Duncan of 64 Aldie street Allston. Reported earlier as Williard Duns ton, the corrected name and address came to light after a reporter visited the Duncans yesterday. The family, notified by Mr Demerritt, said the body was en route to Boston. The father is bedridden in shock and the mother, an invalid, is gravely affected healthwise.

In Rochester New Hampshire today a Barnum and Bailey parade crowd followed by a post office theft. A stranger talked with Postmaster Greenfield while a confederate robbed the safe of stamps valued at 450 and cash 50. The thief fled but was chased down by Officer Twombly. he is named George Smith and a suspect in prior crimes. The accomplice who spoke with the postmaster remains at large.
