Cadets Parade to Nahant Camp with Brigade Band

The Cadets left their armory at 10 with Brown's Brigade Band. Lieut. Col. Jeffries led about sixty muskets to the steamboat Ulysses for Nahant. At camp near Nahant tents rose, meals were shared, and drills and a dress parade followed. The camp uses Whitneys Hotel water, with nightly dances planned after tonight. The Herald criticizes Seventh Regiment drill as needing improvement. The First Regiment, Col. George Johnston, plans a Gloucester excursion and parade by ten. Metropolitan Band accompanies the detachment.
