Parade and trial notes headline a busy day

A slim parade with four hundred men in line and a guard of twelve hundred police reported no disturbances. The eight hour strike was abandoned amid employer pressure. The Stokes trial argued for the prisoner and closed. The Southside Railroad tragedy yielded a verdict of culpable carelessness. Gratz Brown ill.
