Parker Wins Democratic Nomination on First Ballot
In St Louis on July 9 the Democratic National Convention nominated Judge Alton B Parker of New York on the first ballot with 667 votes overall and 658 on regular voting. The convention adjourned without nominating a vice president after a dramatic all night session.
