A cog wheel failed in the Louisburg Square building elevator at 4 PM yesterday, causing a plunge that seriously injured Mrs. Susan Cushing Hart who stood beneath and Mrs. John D. McCoy, both taken to hospital and home respectively. Eyewitnesses say the car jerked and halted mid descent before tumbling the two women to the well floor. Mrs. Cushing suffers severe internal injuries and was moved to Massachusetts General Hospital. Mrs. McCoy was injured and returned home.

Lowell Church Dedicated After Major Restoration
