Erie Railway case opened with Angell and Donan depositions

Albany July 8. In the attorney general case against the Erie Railway the depositions of John C. Angell and affidavit of Donan are read. Angell, a shareholder, alleges massive misappropriation, huge floating debt, and overmortgaging others, urging state intervention to shield bona fide stockholders. Donan accuses fictitious balances and understatements, listing questionable dividends, related party deals, and losses. Final arguments then occur as the attorney general reserves decision.
