Judges fall from horses as Kentucky candidates fare ill

Judge French and Chilton Allen, Democratic and Whig candidates for Congress in Kentucky, are sidelined after horse falls while pursuing election. A Mississippi case notes Isaac Tumay of Port Gibson jailed twenty years for rape after a Vicksburg excitement. Dixon H. Lewis joins a public dinner for Alabama’s Yancey, once misreported. The Louisiana warrant reaches Mitchell for murder, to be executed on July 15, his birthday.
