The South Boston Fish pier received a large catch with 17 vessels delivering swordfish, mackerel and groundfish. Notable hauls include 9000 pounds of mackerel from Nellie T Gaskell and 253 fish from four sword fishermen. Prices for haddock and cod were listed, and several trawlers reported cargo totals. A Norwegian auxiliary schooner arrived with cattle bones for glue stock and fertilizer. Boston bought the Palatka for European trade at about 45000. The British schooner Conqueror sank after a leak off Flores. crew survived.
