The British mail steamer Caledonia captained by E. G. Lott left Liverpool June 19 and reached Boston at 3 a.m. on July 4, covering fourteen days with a Halifax stop. It carried 112 passengers total, including 2 steerage, with 7 left at Halifax. Among its passengers was Madam Anna Bishop.
