Post Office Changes Defend Removals Under General Corse
The Post called on Assistant Postmaster Dale to address criticism over removals since General Corse took charge. Dale says nineteen removals out of 756 staff since Dec 1, 1886, were for cause and not political punishment, citing incompetence, misconduct, and absence. He defends civil service rules and emphasizes Corse’s careful, public-service driven changes.
