In Montpelier Vermont on January 30 Mrs. Rogers the murderess doomed to die Friday awaits Mrs. Lillian Blickensderfer and attorneys who planned to plead insanity before the Vermont Supreme Court. Night ends hopes of a stay as Blickensderfer and legal counsel prepare to arrive Tuesday to seek relief Attorney General Clark C Fitts will be present to oppose the plea.
T W Moloney of Rutland telegraphed Gov C J Bell asking for a reprieve to present new evidence before Vermont Supreme Court in Montpelier. He asserts the evidence could yield a first degree murder verdict, noting it arose after Mrs Rogers trial.
