A fire in the cellar of a dwelling at 72 Marginal Street East Boston caused slight damage after 10 35 p m Saturday. Another small fire burned a tenement at 13 North Margin Street yesterday evening. A Box 121 alarm at noon yesterday proved false.
A New York blaze at Cromwell line pier No 9 caused about 80000 dollars in damage. The Louisiana and New Orleans ships were evacuated as flames spread to deck and nearby structures. Separate fires at Washington Navy Yard damaged drawings for thousands of guns. Two boys aged about 10 discovered a female infant's body wrapped in a skirt and packed in sawdust inside a box behind J N Morgans shoe store on Union Square Somerville.
