Ostrander, condemned for killing his brother in West Camden, has a writ of error and stay of proceedings issued by Judge Merwin. In Yazoo City, William Chivers, sentenced for wife murder, is respited to March 14 from Friday for execution.

A boiler explosion in the Belleville nail mill in Saint Louis area today nearly destroyed the structure. Several workers were seriously injured. Damage estimated at 20000 dollars. About two hundred men and several boys lost their jobs.
