Archbishop William H O Connell of Boston will be vested with the pallium today by Cardinal Gibbons in a solemn rite at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross Washington Street. The ceremony, rich in ancient rites, will draw clergy and laity to fill the edifice.
Gerraldine Farrar received a rousing welcome in her native Melrose last night with 2000 inside the Auditorium and thousands more on the crowded streets outside.
District Attorney Jerome appears ready to agree with the defense that Harry Thaw is sane. A Matteawan for White's slayer seems possible, replacing the electric chair.
