Veal Carcass Seized. Offender C Lewis Noted

An inspector seized an immature veal carcass shipped to the city by C. Lewis of Concord New Hampshire a frequent offender. Lawrence Mandell aged 64 was found very sick and destitute in a house rear of No 31 Webber street and taken to the city hospital. James Gateland died in his Norman street room likely of heart disease with undertaker Tinkham handling the body. A society of arts special meeting is set for Tuesday with W Isenks of Brockton to discuss the Edison central station electric ligating system. B Y M C A members are reminded of tonight’s lecture in the Association hall by Pou on Alaska and the Great Northwest with stereopticon.

Malden Firemen Relief Association Seeks Charter

The Malden Firemen's Relief association voted Wednesday night to apply to the legislature for a charter and elected officers including President T. W. Hough and Secretary W. H. Barrett. Sleeper Train From Hood River Siege Reaches Ogden

Inquest Hears Of Infant Deaths From Epilepsy Curse

Mr George Collier deputy coroner of Middlesex presided over an inquest into the death of a 3 month old child. The mother Matilda Buckham suffered lifelong epilepsy and five other children died from the same illness. The coroner urged restricting marriage for those with such diseases to prevent hereditary suffering, a view backed by the jury.

Injuries after altercation at Chapman street business

John Bowe, intoxicated, visited No 46 Chapman street Wednesday afternoon and fell during a dispute with the proprietor, injuring his head and being taken to the city hospital. Frederick Clark of Pittsburg, Pa. was arrested as a fugitive from justice for obtaining 1900 on false pretenses from Samuel Keys. A carriage horse collision near Roxbury resulted in the death of Franklin’s horse valued at 300. Lawrence Folitero, 37, was arrested for assault with a club on John R. Bowie at No 43 Chapman street, Bowie sustaining a scalp wound. John White, 20, of Indiana place was caught attempting to take change from a till in a Hathorne coach driven by George Wellington. Nathan T. Sheppard of North Pembroke died at the city hospital from injuries suffered in a South Boston fall January 22.
