Mrs Eddy Leaves Concord in Surprise Departure

Concord New Hampshire residents were astonished by Mrs Eddy’s sudden departure. A carload of furniture and one of her carriages were shipped from Pleasant View to Brookline last week. Professor Herman Whering and his wife remain at Pleasant View but offered no comment on the estate’s plans. Mrs Eddy, who first arrived in 1889 and built Pleasant View in 1891, has not left the area since then aside from carriage drives. Rumors tied the move to litigation over property with her son George W. Glover and “next friends.”
