Gen Harrison Hobart last Wisconsin constitutional convention survivor and one of five who planned the Ross tunnel and escaped Libby prison, died at Soldiers' Home hospital. Born in Ashburnham Massachusetts, he graduated from Dartmouth in 183. He moved to Wisconsin in 186 and entered law practice, serving in the territorial Legislature in 1847 for Sheboygan and Washington counties and becoming the first State Senator from his district.
