Marlboro Wrestler Doyle Defeats Wheeler in Five Fall Match

Special to The Post from Gardner on January 26 reports George Doyle of Marlboro defeated Frank Wheeler of Newport New Hampshire in a collar and elbow bout before 300 spectators at the skating rink. Doyle won the first fall after a long struggle, the second fall with a grapevine, Wheeler retired before the third bout, and Doyle claimed the victory as the referee enforced Holske rules.
