We will place on our counters Saturday morning a lot of men’s laundered white shirts made from Langdon cotton. They have 3 ply bosoms and wristbands, patent continuous facings, full size bodies, cut 36 inches long, sleeves graded to three lengths. Prices compare with shirts at 75 cents and 1.00. sizes range 13 3 to 17. The best shirt we have ever sold for the money.
A five story brick building at High and Appleton streets in Holyoke was destroyed by a late evening fire. Owned by J F Comins and built eight years ago, the loss runs about 49000 with dry goods stock of W S Wright and tenant property. Three alarms and assistance from Springfield were called, but the fire was under control by 1130. Several residents were rescued from the third floor. all are believed saved. The surrounding block loss totals about 25000 with partial insurance coverage. Wright’s dry goods stock valued at 7500 with about 450 insurance.
