Retaliation by Canada Railways Policy Considered
Washington reports a Treasury decision on shipping goods via Canadian railways may come in a few days. Windom hints at restricting commerce through Canada to punish Canada for British fisheries issues. Critics warn such retaliation harms American interests, especially Midwest grain moving through Chicago toward Canadian ports and Lake Superior routes.
