Ferries of East Boston Face Tight Finances and Repairs
A Boston Post letter defends the East Boston ferries board, noting a 165000 budget with 170000 expected income, and 37388 left after nine months. It highlights reduced hand, extensive painting and machinery care, and asserts 10600 more funds will not be needed, despite a 4000 annual deck cost and street lighting duties.
