Railroads seek time extensions and land takings in hearings
The Massachusetts Central seeks an extension to May 1, 1853 to build its line and authorization to cross Massachusetts Agricultural College land and the Fitchburg requests land in Belmont for a new track and to lease its old one. City officials urge reenactment of marshal and police appointments. Stone supports. Waterman asks Home Circle charter changes for wider admission. Towns committee hears boundary disputes between Wareham and Sandwich and Framingham and Lowell Railroad.
