The French Ambassador to Petrograd declares the Russian government a menace to future peace. He warns Europe is always exposed to war while the "Bloody Chiefs" stay in power, outside the pale of humanity.
The 1500 men of the First Army Corps Casuals B and C, wounded but fit for further service, arrive aboard the Canada and head for Commonwealth Pier. They will be transferred to Camp Devens as crowds cheer and the Governor's committee prepares a welcome.
Governor Coolidge urges Massachusetts business owners to display white stars on service flags to indicate returning employees who left to join the colors are being rehired. The statement appears in the Post with continuation on Page 20-Fifth Cel.
Provincetown becomes the Cape Cod hub for U boat patrols with the U S S Seneca anchoring as the base for submarines in the First Naval District. About 125 men will crew the vessel as craft shift from Charlestown to Cape cod facilities for repairs and operations.
