In court, intimate letters from widow Mrs Mohr reveal plans to poison the doctor and Miss Burger. The defense cites Mrs Mohr allegedly discussing hiring thugs to kill the couple and throwing vitriol, while Miss Ormsby testifies to similar threats.

An auto truck and an inbound street car collided at the Myrtle Street and Fellsway corner in Medford injuring four people. Injured were Charles Fielding of Everett the auto driver, Dr. and Mrs. Robert E Harney of Mattapan, and Mrs. Katherine Baker of Medford. All but Fielding were passengers on the street car.
Passengers report an auto attempted to cross as a car passed, striking the street car at the center. The impact tore a large hole in its side and threw Dr. and Mrs. Har ney and Mrs. Baker into the aisle.
