Two men with fractured skulls lie in city hospitals after separate assaults. Edward Smith of 7 Leeds Street South Boston and a second man, possibly Michael Moroney of 19 Minden Street Roxbury or Michael Russell of Chelsea, were found injured near Broadway bridge and Garland Washington Streets.
