Art Club Exhibition Shows Ordinary Yet Solid Works
The Art Club exhibition displays largely average winter work with few memorable pieces. Critics praise the jury for excluding poor canvases but fault it for omitting several meritorious works. Portraits dominate, with notable pieces by Parker, Pearce, Benson, Lansil, Turner, and Dean amid a mix of style and technique.
