Tragic Death by Self-Destruction in New York Home

Miss Isabella Titus of Pepperell Massachusetts aged 18 died last night in Twenty-fourth street New York after taking a revolver shot to the temple. Inquest found no romantic motive. temporary insanity cited. Sister telegrams to her mother request gentle handling of the grief. Also noted are farewells to M Catacazy and a reception marking his departure for St Petersburg.

Explosion at Greenwich cartridge factory destroys building

London reports a terrible explosion at a Greenwich cartridge factory yesterday afternoon. Many factory girls caught in flames fled into nearby marshes in a bid to douse the fire as the plant was totally destroyed. Other items note military spending cuts, a gloomy political outlook from Hon. Mr Horsman, and the Gatling gun adoption amid cable company rumors. A Bombay telegram also reports a vessel loss near Surat with thirty five natives drowned.
