Big dam breaks wrecks Cleveland bridge on Wilson avenue
A flood caused by an ice dam burst destroyed a 300 foot steel bridge crossing Kingsbury Run and Nickel Plate tracks on Wilson avenue. Four piers collapsed, a fifth was carried away with a 60 foot span, and two shorter spans were bent. The Nickel Plate trestle nearby was saved. The bridge, opened last summer, cost about $100,000 and about $25,000 is expected for repairs. The block will affect cross-town traffic for pedestrians for some time.
