A wave of threats against the life of Governor Foss causes great alarm at the state capitol. Authorities place heavy guards around the governor’s residence as investigations continue.
Eleven Irish players from the Adelphi Theatre production Play Boy of the Western World were arrested in Philadelphia on warrants by Joseph McGarrity after riots and disturbances. They are held on $5000 bail awaiting a magistrate hearing on indecent and immoral show charges.
Police are dispatched to round up suspects in the North End as Judge Severoni conducts a conference with prosecutor Foss. The case concerns an ongoing investigation and possible charges are under discussion in court.
Inspector Rooney and six Italian speaking officers of Boston police searched the Italian quarters for men who threatened Governor Foss after he called out the militia in the Lawrence strike. Police guarded the Governor's Jamaica Plain home all night while officials acted after 2 PM yesterday.

The New York American reports a Cambridge prank at Harvard where Randolph I. Dugro was confined for 11 hours on a murder charge amid a staged scene. Fellow students feigned an arrest and a death scare involving George McFarland, prompting fears of a nervous breakdown for Dugro.
An explosion of gas destroyed a tenement on Mclean Avenue in Cincinnati. Seven families lived there. only two are accounted for while police fear the rest are buried in the ruins. Reports say about 30 persons remain trapped.
