Steamtrawler Struggles on Third Trip for Haddock and Flounder

The steam trawler Steamtrawler had poor luck on its third trip, landing only 20 000 pounds of haddock and 1000 pounds of flounders. Haddock sold at 134 cents per pound. Out ten days after a week at sea, it fished Brown's bank, Omgl a Have, and Georges. Locals predicted a haul of 190 000 pounds, a disappointment to Captain Malone and veteran fishermen. A few haddock under four inches drew dealer curiosity. Spray returned to port yesterday.
