Regulation of Railways by W D Dabney review

A calm analysis of The Public Regulation of Railways reviews legal and economic aspects. It surveys Supreme Court decisions on railroad rights and state liability, discusses past railroad evils and managerial challenges, and argues that consolidation or stronger government supervision may shape the future. The book aims to be suggestive, not exhaustive, and profitable for readers interested in the topic.

Dreams and Kingsford's Dreamland Tales

The author claims Dreams and Dream Stories were written as she dreamed them and possess extraordinary dramatic unity. Readers may enter a private dreamland through Mrs Kingsford's work, with references to Coleridge and Kubla Khan. A handful of the more readable fancies appear in a slender volume, likely to receive limited welcome.
