Metropolitan Railroad annual meeting reports steady progress
The Metropolitan Railroad Company held its annual meeting at Tremont Temple with John W. Draper presiding. The report shows 452,552 round trips and 18,973,546 passengers in the year ending Nov 30 1873, with higher costs from new tracks and several new horses. Directors were elected, including Draper and Jewell, as the meeting approved the year's accounts and a plan to increase capital or issue bonds.
