Funeral service for Rev. John Cotton Smith held at Church of the Ascension

The funeral for Rev. John Cotton Smith rector of the Church of the Ascension occurred this afternoon with Bishop Potter and several clergymen officiating. Pallbearers included Bishop Stevens and Rev. Dr. Tiffany. The remains were taken to Boston then Ipswich for interment. Call of Illinois and the Collins Family Case Saga

In New York on January 1 Duncan Everett claimed a wool waste patent and enlisted William T. Call of Rock Island as partner funding the venture. He failed to return, later two Collins youths were arrested in Europe for luring a Russian official to invest.
