Attorney Kelley seeks restraining order against U S officials
Patrick Henry Kelley filing for George C. Dempsey of P Dempsey & Co in federal court asks to restrain United States Attorney Boynton and Acting Internal Revenue Collector Casey. He argues the Volstead Act is unconstitutional claiming enforcement power over Prohibition must be shared with the states. The action seeks a court ruling delaying or blocking enforcement by federal authorities.
