Fifty Thousand Dollar Breach Suit Advanced in Suffolk Court

The $50 000 breach of promise suit of Elizabeth M Ryan of New Haven Conn against Harry M Mansfield of Ferncroft Inn will be heard in Suffolk Superior Court equity merit session in the last week of the month. The case was advanced after a motion by Miss Ryans attorneys.

Professor Ripley of Harvard on comeback after illness

Professor W. Z. Ripley of Harvard, a world wide authority on political economy, could not resume work after Christmas due to grippe and pneumonia in Hampton Virginia. He has passed the crisis and is recovering on the road to Newton to return home soon. A pattern for an evening slip will be given away free with every next Sunday Post.

Marriage to Capt. Malloy Sparks Libel for Divorce

Florence Mae Horne Malloy files a libel in Salem seeking divorce from Capt. Jerome Malloy. The 16 year old bride became stepmother to four of his children and later returned to Beverly amid claims of cruelty on and after the December 1908 wedding. Malloy, a seaman, previously moved his children from Perth Amboy to Salem and met Horne in the Carpenter Street home.
