Death of Arnold prompts homicide inquiry in White Woods

Six Hurt As B&O Train Collision Wrecks Two Engines

A rear end collision on the Monon gahela division near Shinnstown in Fairmont West Virginia injured six people and wrecked two engines and a mail and baggage car.

Deadly New York Central tunnel wreck kills fifteen

A rear end collision in the New York Central tunnel at Fifty-fourth Street and Park Avenue left fifteen dead and about thirty wounded. Engineer John Wische of the White Plains local is jailed without bail on homicide charges amid investigations by the district attorney and railroad commissioner. The crash, Long Island City to New Rochelle bound, occurred as smoke and steam filled the two mile tunnel, with a long list of victims and numerous injuries.
