Farewell Turns 10 Fight in Lynn Alley Street Raid

In Lynn on January 6 police raided a house on Alley Street and arrested seventeen Armenians for playing cards and causing a disturbance. All but one were bailed. Two were soon to sail for Armenia to aid countrymen against the Turks, a conflict sparked by a dissenter leading to a melee with chairs knives and clubs injuring several residents.

A stable belonging to William Leonard on Emerald street was burned this morning with hay wood and farm tools. Loss estimated at 2000 with little insurance.
