Case of Importance in Supreme Court on Rail Road Shares
A hearing in chambers in the Supreme Court heard James Fisk and others versus the Chicago Rock Island and Pacific Rail road Company. Plaintiffs holding 500 shares seek an injunction to prevent more than 92,000 shares issuance. Four persons claim to act as an executive committee issued 49,000 preferred shares and Fisk alleges denial of access to books. Judge Caldoza granted a preliminary injunction.
