The report has caused a new sensation and spurred military activity. It is believed Brooke's or Carr's command may have suffered casualties.

Clever swindler and companion arrested in Lynn case
A Springfield man Frank B. Swaty and his companion Lillie E. Dorn, both from Springfield, were arrested in Lynn after obtaining 350 dollars in goods on instalment terms and cash payments through forged bills.
