Maud Palmers Rough Voyage From Boston To Baltimore
The schooner Maud Palmer arrived in Baltimore from Boston after a 21 day voyage marked by gale winds and heavy seas. Westerly winds forced detours and she battled surf off Hatteras and near the Gulf Stream, a voyage longer than the average seven days. Her sister Prescott Palmer left Bath, Maine on Feb 1 and has not been heard from.
