Railroad Reorganization Plan Shunned by Bondholders
At yesterday's Rockford Rock Island and St. Louis Railroad meeting, a proposed reorganization selling the line to a committee for preferred stock was rejected in favor of resolutions appointing a committee to probe management and propose future operations. Separate notes report tax office rumors in Brooklyn about a missing cash item and possible taxpayer operator arrest preparations.
