Tragic Fall Kills Bride on North Margin Street

A 19 year old Italian bride, Mrs Luigia Santoro, fell from a fourth story window outside her North Margin Street home. Police suspect her husband, now missing, as the motive. She died at Lefax Hospital from multiple injuries after the 7 pm incident witnessed by several neighbors.

Longshoremen Win Pay Rise After Conference Session

After a discussion with steam ship agents, the conference at the Chamber of Commerce granted deep water longshoremen a 5 cent hourly increase on bulk cargo from 7 am to 11 39 pm and a 10 cent raise after midnight. The dispute is now resolved.
