Kroonland launched at Cramps shipyard in Philadelphia
The steamship Kroonland was launched at Cramps shipyard Philadelphia this afternoon. The ways had frozen and hydraulic jacks were used to slide the ship into the water. When loaded it will have a displacement near 20,000 tons and ranks as the largest U S vessel then built. It is the third of a quartet of twin screw ships for the International Navigation Company's New York Antwerp service.

Dominion liner New England sets Mediterranean passenger record
Ships and harbor activity dominate reports at the port. The Dominion liner New England carried 1401 passengers from Naples to Charlestown, a potential record for European trade. Other movements include towboats, coal carries, and multiple steamers preparing for Liverpool, London, and Hull runs, with weather and wind shaping harbor traffic.
